So today, I went to the Living Words Graffiti Battle and Opening of West Oakland's new skate park in Defermery Park! Let me tell you, it was hella awesomeeeee. and stupid me, ran out of batteries in my camera from Cal Slam night.. so boohoo no pictures (except for my hella pixelly motorola cell phone camera! HAh..
But whatever, Mos Def (friggin' one of the hottest men alive!) and Goapele, she is hella DOPE, performed!! There was a live graf competition wit some pretty sick artists... [I will def post the pics from my cell when I get the chance!] HAH..
BUH danggg. I wish I had brought my camera, I know my words can't really suffice the whole experience of the event.. But damn.. it was DOPE. People need to check out more of their local and community events! There are some of the realest ppl there!
Oh yea! And of course, can't forget the skate park opening! There were HELLA young ass kids doin their thanggg! super cute and those kids got some skill right thereeee. I went with Peggy and Wendy (Huangers :P), their old art teacher from high school had built the skate park! Koodie came by for a little bit too.. But forreall.. Oakland fa sho.. I love it.
